Linda Hall bio
Linda began learning Kung Fu in 1991 as an alternative way of keeping fit.
In 1993 Linda had the privilege of studying both Opera house Kung fu and Tai chi with acclaimed grandmaster Sifu Liang guo qiang. It was from this point that her love of Kung Fu and Tai chi was cemented and it began to play a very important role in her life.
In 2002 Linda travelled to Hong Kong, Guangzhao and Zhaoqing in south China with Sifu Liang to further her studies. On her return Linda entered 'The Chinese Martial Arts Championships', in Oxford winning her first gold medal for open hand external form and a second medal for her sword form. In 2003 Linda won another gold medal for siu teh sin (small steel wire) Opera house third kung fu form at the British Championships. In 2004 sadly Sifu Liang passed away, Linda and Sifu Liang's daughter, Mae who has also studied in the Chinese Buddhist monasteries in Henan Province, continue to train together.
Linda is qualified to teach a large range of fitness classes including, pilates, aqua aerobics, circuit training, pre and post-natal fitness. She worked in the fitness circuit in various health clubs including, The Chelsea club, The Mayfair Retreat and The Park Club. Linda's years of experience means she is as comfortable teaching in a one to one scenario as she is dealing with large groups and corporate events.
In 2005 Linda and business partner Tracy Gleeson created & devised "Biaw yian" the performance martial art and has been passing on her knowledge to the dedicated team of Performance Martial Arts Instructors ever since......
Melissa Tudsbury bio
Melissa's interest in Martial arts started with kickboxing at the age of 16 training regularly and with South African Karate champion Bruce Van Rensburg. Melissa has been teaching fitness classes for over 5 years and has many years experience in personal training and class instruction, successfully incorporating her kickboxing background into her fitness classes. Melissa has been training with Linda Hall since 2008 learning both Kung Fu & Tai chi. Melissa currently teaches a Martial art style fitness classes with adults including the teachers at a local primary school and a wake up club, Kids Kung Fu and Tai Chi to children.
Raquel Mateos bio
Raquel started dance training in 1994 in Spain, and has been exploring different styles including Max Mattox, Street Dance, Ballet and mainly Contemporary Dance. In 2003 Raquel moved to London where she trained intensively in KKC College and Lewisham College, Including many workshops all around London. Her interest shifted to Martial arts and Yoga. Practicing Fundokan for one year and Kalaripayatt for 2 years. Raquel started teaching classes in 2004.
Since 2007 Raquel's Martial arts training has been inclusively in Kung fu and Tai chi and completed instructor training in 2008 with Performance martial arts. Raquel specializes in Animal Fu fun classes and Tai chi for both adults and children.
Juan Carlos bio
Juan's Martial arts training began with Karate in 1991 and Taekwondo in 1994 in the Distrital University in Bogota Colombia. In 1995 & 1999 Juan became the University sub champion and the University champion in 1996 & 1997.
Juan then went on to win the University national championships in Colombia in 1998 & 1999. He was also the "champion" in The federation hubcap in 1998 and interleague in 1999. Juan began teaching Martial arts at Univeridad catolica de Colombia from 2000 to 2002 and from 2004 to 2007 at the Lourdes gym. Also teaching Taebo from 2007. From 2008 Juan has been teaching Kung Fu and Fighting fit with Performance Martial arts.
